A grass fire on Blackwood Road near Port Fairy was reported just before 4pm and crews from four appliances had it under control by 4.22pm.
Another fire was reported about 4.21pm in cypress trees at the corner of Nine Mile Creek and the Kirkstall-Koroit Road near Koroit.
Crews from three appliances had that fire under control by 4.44pm.
Both fires were small in size. The cause of the fires was not yet known.
The Koroit fire was close to the location where a small fire started on Wednesday.
The CFA said earlier the fire at Koroit on Wednesday possibly started from a rekindle of a previous burn off.
Temperatures on Thursday reached 36 degrees in Warrnambool, Port Fairy, Hamilton and Mortlake and 34 degrees in Portland.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting temperatures on Friday will reach 36 in Warrnambool, 39 in Hamilton, 37 in Mortlake, 34 in Port Fairy and 33 in Portland.
