Bradshaw made his debut for the Magpies in 2010 as a 16-year-old.
A combination of shoulder injuries and university study in Melbourne restricted the 25-year-old to 43 senior games, the last of those in 2017.
Bradshaw, who has finished his studies and is working as a chiropractor in Warrnambool, did not play football in 2018.
He said living in Warrnambool made the Roosters a good fit.
“I met with Matt Battistello (South Warrnambool coach) and some of his assistants and they explained what they were aiming to do at the club,” Bradshaw said.
“They think I will be a good fit, they have a lot of young players but are just looking for a few more in that middle bracket, which I sit in at 25.
“I had this year off to concentrate on work but I started playing some social squash and just got that bug back to play some competitive sport again.”
Koroit key forward Hamish Gurry has also crossed to South Warrnambool.
The 20-year-old topped the Hampden league reserves goalkicking list in 2018 with 57 goals.
He also played six senior games for the Saints.
Former Warrnambool and District league players Tate Porter (Merrivale) and Ben Rantall (Old Collegians) have also joined the Roosters, as has promising Spotswood key position player Sean Hardeman.
