The 22-year-old, who joined the struggling AFL team from VFL club Werribee as a mature-age recruit in the trade period, extended his initial two-year to a four-year deal with the Suns on Monday.
Corbett, who was named the VFL’s Fothergill-Round-Mitchell medallist following a standout season, was lured north as part of Gold Coast’s access to three mature-age players, joining West Adelaide’s Chris Burgess, who also signed a contract extension, and former Fremantle defender Sam Collins.
The promising forward kicked 22 goals in nine games before an eye injury sidelined him for the rest of the 2018 VFL season.
Corbett was also issued the number 19 jumper for the upcoming 2019 season on Monday.
