Michael Harrison and Billy Edis are two of last season’s four board members elected back onto the executive at the league’s annual general meeting on Monday night.

Scott Coverdale, Norm Gibson, Carolyn Howe, Kylie Murphy and Mathew Milne are the new faces on the full committee.

Gibson, who worked alongside Harrison on the Hampden league board, is eager to step back into football administration.

“One (reason) is to help Michael on the board and hopefully I can bring experience to work with the other board members,” he said. 

“Everyone seems to be positive going forward so we forget about what happened in the past and look forward to the future.”

Harrison was also pleased to have a full executive on-board for a new season. 

“The new board is looking forward to working together from the discussions we’ve had so far,” he said. “I am very pleased to have the people on-board and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

The roles of the new look executive will be decided at its first meeting. 

2018 vice-president and netball chairperson Sara Quinn has stepped down to the roles of umpire mentor and junior development officer, while David Turner has stepped away completely. 

Murphy, who was a committee member on last season’s netball executive, replaces Quinn as netball chairperson. 

Nikki Mitchem, Veronica Cannon, Kaye Hollis, Tamara Bull, Loretta Doran and Jenny Gleeson are returning faces to the netball executive. 

Nirranda premiership coach Steph Townsend is the only new addition to the committee. 

The league has received its financial report but it’s still in the process of analysing the findings.
