Emmanuel College won the School Sport Victoria year 7 boys’ title in Melbourne on Monday, going through the tournament undefeated.
Coach Shane Smith said the nine-player roster showed consistency across its four games, including its 44-27 grand final triumph against Girton College Bendigo.
The SSV competition consisted 30-minute pool games and a decider – shorter games to what the Seahawks juniors play at squad tournaments.
“Other than the first game, the boys got off to good starts and the depth in the team meant we were able to hold our leads,” he said.
Harry Keast, George Stevens, Oliver Smith, Connor Byrne, Rupert Morley, Mitch Wollermann, Pwoch Akoch, Sam Barker and Luamon Lual represented Emmanuel College.
