The 19-year-old, who has taken three wickets in three pool games, was controversially left out of the Southern Stars side that was handed a 48-run defeat to India on Sunday morning.
Australian coach Matthew Mott admitted leaving the leg-spinner out had been a “tough call”.
“We like playing a leggy and we agonised over it as there was no one to leave out as we had come in in good form,” he said.
“The feed back to her was that she had done absolutely nothing wrong and for India we feel this is the way to go.
“She took it in her stride and she is back into contention for the next game.”
Wareham was replaced in the Australian side on Sunday by housemate Tayla Vlaeminck, who finished with figures of 0-9 in her international debut.
The Southern Stars, who are sweating on the fitness of star wicket-keeper/batsman Alyssa Healy (concussion), head to Antigua to take on the West Indies at the Sir Vivian Richards Ground.
The defending champions defeated England on Monday morning to set up the first semi-final encounter against the Aussies. The last time the two sides met was in the 2017 One-day World Cup. The Australians were eventual eight-wicket victors.
Friday morning’s match starts at 7am (AEDT).
