A cow and a Telly Tubby were among the 88 people who ran, jogged and walked at Lake Pertobe this morning to celebrate two years of Warrnambool parkrun.

There were 19 personal bests, 11 first timers and four different clubs that took part in the five-kilometre event that kicked off at 8am.
The event marked two years since the free weekly run was held at Lake Pertobe on November 19, 2016.
In that time there has been 106 events and more than 1760 runners.
Event director Jarrod Mast said Warrnambool parkrun was the 194th event for Australia.
“In the last 12 months we’ve seen 1012 different people complete our course, equating to 3893 finishes, and running a collective distance of 19,465 kilometers,” he said.
“That brings our total distance to just over 40,000 kilometers, since we started. But the really cool thing is the 1333 people who have registered Warrnambool parkrun as their home event.”
Mr Mast said the largest attendance on record was 217 people.
Following Saturday’s run, participants enjoyed a large carrot cake at the Adventure Park before heading over to Simon's Waterfront for a post-run coffee, which is a weekly ritual.
Parkrun is held each Saturday at Warrnambool’s Lake Pertobe and is made possible by a group of dedicated volunteers, including Jarrod Mast, Kerry Clapham, Melissa Mueglitz, Sam Barker, Troy Tampion and Marie Leske.
The five-kilometer course begins and finishes at the Adventure Park, with the course running east alongside the lake before joining up with the Lake Pertobe trail.
