The vehicles, a Ford Territory and a Holden Rodeo ute, each received minor front-end damage in the collision.
No one was injured in the accident that occurred about 2pm.
Senior Constable Amy Morel of Warrnambool highway patrol said the accident happened after one vehicle that was turning right from Raglan Parade to travel north along Banyan Street collided with the other vehicle that was travelling south on Banyan Street.
She said one vehicle was driven by a woman who had her daughter and son on board and the other vehicle, which was towing a trailer, was driven by a man.
The Banyan Street and Raglan Parade intersection has a high rate of collisions.
Senior Constable Morel said police investigations into the accident were continuing.
The accident did not cause the closure of any roads.
