Lindop, who lives in the Adelaide suburb of Brighton, is one of three candidates that was elected to represent the Seacliff Ward in the City Of Holdfast Bay election.
“It’s a thrill to be elected on the local council,” she said.
“The main reason why I stood was to put something back into the local community which has been so good to me. I’m sure I’ll gain a lot of personal development out of being on the council. I’ve got fond memories of growing up in Wangoom and my parents (Maggie and Clive) were involved in all the things in the local community.
“They instilled in me to give back to the community. It’s also a great opportunity for me to meet new people outside of the racing bubble. Racing is very demanding and time consuming so I believe this will be a good fit for me to follow local issues.”
