Beyond the Bell Great South Coast is hosting Liz Weaver and Liz Skelton on Thursday evening and the community can hear how their expertise could be adapted in the region.
Beyond the Bell is using the collective impact model to engage with all sectors of the community to improve educational and health and well-being outcomes for young people.
Chief executive officer Adele Kenneally said the community-based system could be adapted to any complex social issue.
“We’re excited to have both speakers in Warrnambool,” Ms Kenneally said.
“They are well known around the world for their leadership in collective impact and they are really passionate about communities working together on complex issues to make significant changes.”
Ms Weaver leads the Tamarack Learning Centre in Ontario, Canada which aims to advance community change efforts by focusing on five strategic areas including collective impact, collaborative leadership, community engagement, community innovation and evaluating community impact.
Ms Skelton is renowned in Australia and the UK for her work and expertise as a leader, thought-leader, consultant, author and facilitator of leadership for social and adaptive system change. She is also a director of collaboration for Impact, a learning organisation building collaboration for system change.
