Chow, who had a winning double at Ballarat last week, saddles up Kent Street and Leila’s Star on the eight race program.
“Leila’s Star has improved from her first up run at Stawell,” the popular trainer said.
“My biggest concern with Leila’s Star is barrier one. She’s going to get back and may need a bit of luck from that gate. Kent Street’s maiden win was good but he’s got to carry 60-kilograms – that’s a bit of a worry.
“Both my horses have worked impressively since their first-up runs.”
Patrons to the meeting will be admitted free of charge. Hamilton Racing Club operations manager John Donnelly said the track should offer an ideal racing surface.
“We had eight mils of rain on Friday night and added another five mils of water on Saturday,” Donnelly said. “The track is in great shape for the eight races on the card.”
The first race is scheduled to start at 1.30pm with the last set down to begin at 5.00pm.
