At 29, Brewer is the Hurricanes’ most experienced player in the team’s first season back in the Country Basketball League (CBL) after a long break. He is also a junior coach at the club.
While the Hurricanes are winless after five rounds, including a 98-63 loss to Horsham Hornets on Saturday, Brewer sees progress.
“There are some good signs, we are still developing,” Brewer said.
“We can’t expect to come in and beat the top teams overnight. We want to be in the competition for the long run.”
In other CBL games, the Terang Tornadoes lost both games over the weekend.
