Committee members said they have been overwhelmed by community support for the town’s 139th consecutive show, with deadlines extended for entries in the horticultural, art and craft and pavilion sections to allow for the added interest.
The historic show, first held in 1879, is expected to draw a record crowd to Victoria Park on Saturday.
Show secretary Julie Houlihan said the show was gearing up to be the biggest yet.
“I’m sure we’ll exceed last year’s show, it’s fantastic,” she said.
“The highlight is free entry for all juniors.”
Highlights include the 26th Victorian Home Brew Championships at the Koroit Football Netball Club clubrooms on Friday night and the ‘Beaut Ute’ competition.
