Beautiful and thoughtful table decorations will sit in pride of place at the Water East Timor fund-raising dinner on Saturday night.
Lyndoch Living residents have made the stunning displays for each table, featuring a tap with running water and the East Timor flag. The fund-raising dinner will feature delectable East Timorese cuisine. All money raised will go to sending a plumber to remote villages, find a spring or a well and teach villagers how to pipe water.
Lyndoch Living’s Joan Lemke said the table decaorations were “very relevant” to the cause.
“We put our hands up to do the centerpieces and we were very happy to do so,” she said. Fund-raiser dinner organiser Greta Perry was impressed with the pieces.
“They look sensational,” she said. The dinner will be held at the South Warrnambool Football club rooms and a small number of tickets are still available. Phone Greta on 0438 415 661 for more information.
