Robert Charles Bevan, 67, was sentenced to 15 months jail with a further nine months suspended for two years after being found guilty in April of seven historical sex offences against children.
An eighth charge was dismissed.
Bevan was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.
He appeared in the Warrnambool County Court this week, where he sought to have the matter re-tried, or his sentence reduced.
But the appeal was abandoned and Bevan was taken into custody.
Two victims gave evidence during a contested hearing in Warrnambool Magistrates Court earlier this year.
