The Seahawks lost both of its Country Basketball League matches to Portland by 29 points and Colac by 35.
Noter said he believed his team would soon be better for the tough start to the year.
"It is a young group that we have playing this year," he said.
"But I was pretty happy with the way they handled themselves today against a bigger team, and backing up after a physical game last night in Portland.
"So it is a learning curve for them but I think once we can string together a quarter or two, because at the moment we are only playing in patches, I think the boys will get a lot better."
Noter said his team would continue to train hard despite having the bye this week.
The Seahawks then take on Bacchus Marsh.
It was also a tough weekend for the Warrnambool Mermaids who suffered two losses.
The Mermaids fell to Portland by 11 points on Saturday before going down to Colac by 17 on Sunday.
