A car flipped onto its side when it was T-boned during a two-car accident near Hamilton on Sunday.
Sergeant Paul Stanhope, of Hamilton police, said the drivers of both cars, one an elderly woman, were lucky to escape serious injury.
The accident happened at the Port Fairy-Hamilton Road intersection with South Boundary Road shortly before 6pm.
“It’s the same intersection where there was a head-on with a truck recently,” Sergeant Stanhope said.
“It’s turning out to be a bad spot.” He said the accident happened when one of the cars failed to give way.
In a separate incident, extensive damage has been caused during a burglary to a commercial premises in the Warrnambool area at the weekend.
Senior Constable Rachael McMahon, of Warrnambool’s Criminal Investigation Unit, said investigations were continuing into the incident which she described as “extensive damage and theft”.
