This year’s one-day format for the Warrnambool show’s sheep competition was a success, attracting about 100 entries.
A Southdown Ram from first time Warrnambool Show exhibitor Ned Nagorcka, "Nedelle Downs" Hawkesdale, took out the Kevin Ludeman Memorial All Breeds Sheep of the Show title. Mr Nagorcka made his debut at the sheep competition with five 18-month-old Southdown rams.
Poll Dorsets were the feature breed with four exhibitors. There was also strong support in the Romney and Southdown sections with four exhibitors in each of those breeds. The judges were Alistair Sutherland (Poll Dorsets), Doug Deppeler (short wools) and Michael Deppeler (long wools).
