Opposition leader Matthew Guy and Member for South West Coast Roma Britnell made the announcement at the new school site on Wollaston Road on Tuesday.
She said the money would go towards constructing sporting facilities for the school.
Last month the school community launched a fund-raising campaign to raise $1 million to implement facilities from its master plan.
“It seems strange that a school this size doesn’t have an oval,” she said.
“I’ve been working on this project from the very first week that I started in this role. Why should children at this school be disadvantaged? The government won’t release what they are doing. I’ve spoken to the school president, to the school council and they don’t know what’s involved in stage one.
“I’ve spoken to (state government Education Minister) James Merlino. I have asked him for the details. He says everything will be funded but the community tell me there won’t even be an oval.”
Mr Guy questioned why the school didn’t have the same facilities as others across the state.
“Why haven’t the government done it properly at the start?” Mr Guy asked.
Independent candidate Mike Neoh said the SDS funding was a number one priority for him on his eight-point wish list.
“I’m glad the major parties are ticking off that wish list and I’m still thinking about preferences,” he said. “It has shown there is competition for the seat and when there is funding flows.”
