Your pre-loved suit could enjoy a new lease on life at all abilities surf days, to be held in Warrnambool in December and February.
The south-west Disabled Surfing Association branch needs wetsuits of any condition for its program which provides people with a disability the chance to surf.
The event continues to grow and attracts all ages from across the region.
President Aidan Nicolson said participants used specialised surf boards and other modified equipment to take to the water. He said the past three years had been so successful that a second event had been added to this year’s summer program. He said it provided participants with a beach experience they may not otherwise have in a fun and supportive environment.
Wetsuits can be dropped to local surf shops The Surf Co in Warrnambool or The Passage Port Fairy. To register as a participant or a volunteer go to the Disabled Surfers Association – Great South Coast Facebook page.
