A deep pot hole on the Timboon-Nullawarre Road has been made easily avoidable, with a large witch’s hat now poking out it.
A concerned Nullawarre resident noticed it on Tuesday afternoon and contacted The Standard.
Other readers also sent pictures of the pot hole, with the bright orange marker alerting drivers to the road hazard.
The man said the hole had recently been fixed.
"It sounds like a local farmer put the witch’s hat in on Monday," he said.
"It was patched up last week.
"A culvert runs out on the road and by the sounds of it the culvert is buggered, it must have collapsed.
"With the bit of recent rain we have had the hole has opened up."
The man said the overall condition of the Timboon-Nullawarre Road had improved.
"It is good now, a lot of work has done to it in the last year," he said.
VicRoads regional director Mark Koliba said crews would be out as soon as possible to repair the hole.
“After carrying out inspections on this section of Timboon-Nullawarre Road yesterday, we have identified that drainage repairs are required to fix a culvert,” he said.
