Tom White is the seventh familiar face to return to the Bulldogs’ side since former players Chris Bant and assistant coach Paddy Mahony took over the reins of the Warrnambool and District league team.
Sam Melican, premiership player Shamus O'Beirne, Brandon Bant and Luke Gavin were the other four players announced as re-signings on September 25.
It will be White’s second stint with the club after crossing from South Warrnambool in 2014 before returning to Friendly Societies’ Park as a playing assistant coach in 2016.
Bant said it was a “big plus” to secure the former Hampden interleague player.
“It was a big focus when we came on board and it’s good to another one on, which is what we are looking for,” he said.
“We do lack a few big-bodied players so to get someone of that quality is going to be a big plus.
“It’s good bringing people back to the club and along with his family it’s good to get them all back.”
The 33-year-old will line up as a forward in Bant’s side but could feature as a back-up ruckman.
In White’s first season with Panmure in 2014, where he kicked 57 goals from 20 games, he was part of the Bulldogs’ side which finished runner-up to Merrivale. In 2015 he only managed nine games and kicked 17 goals.
After switching to South Warrnambool he played 37 games and kicked 43 goals.
Panmure recorded only one win to finish last in 2018.
