Event organiser David Bennie said the inaugural rally was a huge success, with funds raised for South West Healthcare prostate surgery equipment and the city’s Let’s Talk Foundation.
“We had a fantastic event made possible by an absolutely massive community effort,” he said.
“We had 168 registered riders and cars that came from Warrnambool and as far as Horsham, Ballarat, Geelong and Mount Gambier.”
The charity rally travelled 350 kilometres from Warrnambool’s Flying Horse Inn to Halls Gap via Koroit, before returning to the Woolsthorpe Hotel.
Mr Bennie said over 170 business donated money or items to a raffle and auction.
“Michelle and the Woolsthorpe hotel team did a fantastic job and Mark Legett did an outstanding job contacting businesses for donations. It really was an amazing effort by the whole community.”
Mr Bennie said the day saw both rain and sunshine.
“We got a bit of rain between Dunkeld and Halls Gap but the rest of the day was nice,” he said.
“The feedback that we have received is that everyone had a great day. It will definitely be an annual event.”
