The Rebel Noter-led side was beaten from start-to-finish in the 108-68 defeat to an unrelenting Ararat Redbacks team.
The Seahawks shared the scoring load with Ben Berry (19 points), Adam Lawson, Ryan Fary and Tanna Blackney-Noter (10 each) contributing to the tally in the loss.
An undermanned Mermaids side, which only had six players available, couldn’t overcome Colac Kookas in their game on Sunday.
The Mermaids, led in the scoring by Renee Tuck (13 points) and Annie O'Brien (10), were handed a 71-58 defeat after sticking with the Kookas most of the contest.
A late surge from Colac pushed the final margin out to 27 points after the Mermaids entered the final term just eight points adrift.
The two Warrnambool teams now sit 0-2 to start the 2018-19 season.
Terang Tornadoes men’s (1-1) and women’s (1-0) sides had a week off due to a bye round.
