The 83-year-old returned from Alice Springs where he completed yet another half-marathon.
He said he was the ‘oldest chap’ that took part in the 21-kilometer event and has no plans to hang up his runners.
"I am fit so I don't know why I should stop," he said.
"I have nothing else to do but train, train and train every day. every night seven days a week.
"One old chap running with me and was yelling out telling everybody 'this bloke is 83 and he has done all of this', as he told them my story.”
The veteran runner said he was happy with the way he performed, but was taking a few days to recover.
He said having completed many long distance races before, he learnt to pace himself.
"my legs are a bit sore," he said.
"Everybody took off a little bit fast, you aren't racing you've got to get the distance.”
