The launching facility was shut by the city council after it was discovered a metal cover plate between the concrete abutment and the concrete boat ramp decking has become loose.
The plate had been removed, leaving a gap which presented an injury risk, the council said last Friday when it was closed for use.
The plate had been damaged beyond repair.
A Warrnambool City Council spokesman advised The Standard the emergency works had now been completed, and the ramp was open for use.
