Jason Perera (4-6) and Darren Lloyd (3-8) took seven of a possible 10 wickets for the Pirates in Saturday’s win against East Warrnambool-YCW.
Williams said he was rapt with the pair’s performance, but made it clear he didn’t want his other players expecting the duo to do it every week.
"It gives you a lot of confidence knowing that they will get the job done for you," he said.
"They are both so reliable with bowling to a plan.
“And are two very different types of bowlers which bowled really well in a partnership their first five overs each really set us up.
"But we don’t want to rely on the same people every week and that’s a big thing this year is we want everyone playing there role in the team."
Wesley-CBC started its 2018-19 campaign with a solid win against Allansford.
Wesley set 140 and bowled Allansford out for 115.
Ryan McArdle top scored with 47 while Thomas Bowman impressed with 2-19.
