Police said the driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries but was not taken to hospital.
Police said the accident appeared to have occurred after the vehicle carrying the tourists from Queensland veered on to the wrong side of the road.
Police are preparing a report into the accident.
Both cars were extensively damaged in the accident.
Police were working in the Port Campbell station at the time of the accident and were quickly on the scene.
EARLIER: Three people are being assessed by paramedics after a multi-vehicle collision in Port Campbell’s main street this afternoon.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the extent of their injuries was not yet known.
The accident happened about 3pm.
Early reports from a local resident who saw the accident scene said it appeared one vehicle had rolled after colliding head on with another vehicle near the Port Campbell police station.
The local resident said the driver of one of the vehicles, who was another local resident, had told him another vehicle, driven by a visitor to the area, had swerved on to the wrong side of the road and hit him.
The local driver had been heading towards Timboon on Lord Street while the visitor had been heading into Port Campbell, the local resident said.
