Panmure’s recruiting policy was made clear from the start, and that was to get former players back to the club.

The Bulldogs have confirmed former players Sam Melican, premiership player Shamus O'Beirne, Brandon Bant and Luke Gavin will all again play in the red, white and blue for the 2019 Warrnambool and District league season.
Coach Chris Bant, a former Panmure premiership captain who signed last week, said the return of the quartet was a credit to the club.
“These guys all wanted to come back Panmure, no one was forcing them and they could have easily gone elsewhere, but they wanted to come here,” he said.
“So I think that is a really good sign and a good reflection on the club and where it has been in the past. People go away for different reasons but when they come back they want to return to the club.
“And that has been a focus for us, not just players but all people whether they sit on the bench and help or are on the committee.”
Bant made it clear Panmure would be aggressive in its continued approach to recruiting as it looks to further bolster its playing list for next season.
The first-year coach said the club was keen to sign several more players including a key defender and a ruckman.
"We will definitely go as hard as we can to virtually get whoever we can," he said.
"I have been on the phone a fair bit and will continue to sound some people out, but it's not an easy job and every club is in a similar boat.
"If we can add another five or six it will hold us in good stead and having so many blokes return to the club will make it easy with the points system if things start to get tight."
