Rebel Noter is overseeing both the men’s and women’s teams for the upcoming summer league season, which is due to tip off on October 13.
But he said the Mermaids would need to make a decision on whether or not they will suit up soon.
“It’s still up in the air with the women at the moment,” Noter said.
“We have to find out who is committed. We might have to pull out. We need to make a decision quickly. Netball is holding us up and work commitments but netball is over now.”
Noter said the Warrnambool Basketball Incorporated junior committee was running the CBL teams which will cater for players aged 20 and younger.
He said Matthew Rea, Jack Patterson and Adam Lawson, who all spent time in the Seahawks’ Big V program this year, would lead the way for the men’s team.
“They are all versatile perimeter players, guards,” Noter said.
