The Saints, who won a record five consecutive Hampden league senior premierships on Saturday as well as the open and division two netball flags, regrouped on Monday to continue their celebrations.
The Mad Monday tradition, which is celebrated nationally, often attracts headlines. But Hoy said his players behave like true Saints.
"Today is their day," he said.
"It is just a way to unwind and put something different into it and bond together at the end of the season.
"They have good experience at it now after so many years.
"And it is done in good taste, they always behave themselves and we are all very happy."
The Koroit players and officials dressed as a variety of celebrities, movie characters and sports stars.
Among the best dressed included star forward Jarrod Korewha as Michael Jackson and Tom Mugavin as Ron Burgundy.
Some players also chose to wear costumes that reflected some of the Hampden league’s own identities, particularly those with a controversial edge.
Hoy again gave his players full marks for their effort.
"I think we can give them the tick as the best year ever," he said.
"When you have five sides in grand finals you are going to get a lot more people so they have done well."
