The Kangaroos produced a dominant performance to win the division three grand final against Port Fairy by 15 goals, 36 to 21.
Anton said from the moment the team was selected at the start of the year it bonded and that bond had grown strong ever since.
"We just love each other as a family do and I think today the result showed because we didn't just come out there as seven individuals, we played as a family and got the result," he said.
"The girls have just been an amazing group that have come together so well and each one of them wanted to make the team and the year best possible year that they could.
"So we spend so much time together not just on the court and at training, but outside we are constantly catching up to boost the morale and I think it really paid off."
Hamilton Kangaroos, who finished the home and away season undefeated, had been the premiership favourite for months.
Their coach said that added pressure had not effected his team, but acknowledged it was aware of the external talk.
"I think there had been a lot of people talk about it, us as a group have really been quite humble," he said.
"We have approached each game really cautiously and we have gone in knowing we had to put in the work to get the results.
"So for us we've gone in really level-headed and not got carried away, but there has definitely been some pressure from outside."
