Ferguson will officiate in the grand final contest between the Dandenong Stingrays and Oakleigh Chargers.
It is the latest accolade for Ferguson, who was boundary umpire in the 2017 VFL grand final.
Ferguson, 24, said he was happy with his form this season.
“I’ve been getting through games well and my fitness is good,” Ferguson said.
“I enjoy it, that’s probably the most important part of it.
“I have umpired mostly VFL games this season and I also done the under 18s championships during the year.
“That was a really high standard, it was a bit quicker than the VFL.”
Ferguson’s rise through the Victorian Football Umpires’ Association ranks began in 2013 when he won the best first-year boundary umpire award.
