Last year it was relegated to division two after it struggled against the top teams.
But match committee chairman John Snowden said he believed the team’s time in division two would be short-lived.

Western District starts its campaign with a double-header against Western Play Dalhousie and South Gippsland on October 1.
It then takes on South Western and East Gippsland across the three-day tournament.
These matches will be played at Keysborough, Cranbourne and Patterson River golf clubs.
The final squad, which will be managed by Timboon’s Donna Weller, consists of players Alison Sinclair, Lauren Higgins (Warrnambool), Anne Dwyer, Di Robinson (Port Fairy), Sandy Stewart, Jeanette Sandeman (Portland), Lyn Satchell (Hamilton), Martina Whelan (Grampians) and Marion Venn (Terang).
The aim is to get back in the top division, that's always the aim.
