The Warrnambool Outdoor Adventure Expo attracted record crowds in what is its biggest event yet.
The couple said they attended to see what had changed and what was new in the caravan market. “We’ve had eight caravans over 40 odd years, from little ones to big ones,” Mrs Grey said.
Show manager Jeff Leech said it was a great chance to check out the latest vans and motorhomes from Victorian dealers.
“It was a record day for Friday and we’re here ‘til Sunday,” he said. “It’s almost double the size of last year’s.It’s a chance to view all major brands together in one spot so you can compare. From a camper trailer up to a motor home or an off-road caravan we’ve got it all and each year it keeps getting better.”
Prestige Jayco Geelong sales manager Grant Sizer said they had good patronage from the region. “We’ve done every show,” Mr Sizer said. “I like supporting the Warrnambool people because they’ve always come to Geelong. They look after us up there. It’s a good show.”
Warrnambool RV and Caravan Centre co-owner Murray Swayn said the expo gave people the opportunity to view different models and items without feeling like they had to buy.
He said it showcased different businesses’ wares and attracted exhibitors and patrons to the region, providing a welcome boost to city restaurants and motels.
