A HAMILTON man aged about 30 years old is expected to be charged with trafficking drugs after a police raid on Friday morning.

Detective Sergeant Mark James, of Hamilton police crime investigation unit, said a warrant was executed at a Mount Napier Road address at 9.40am.
"One man was arrested and we seized a vehicle, cash and drugs," he said.
"That man is expected to be charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, possessing the proceeds of crime and also charged with charged with offences relating to assaulting a police member."
Detective Sergeant James said the police officer had suffered minor injury, including bruising and swelling.
"We are also conducting further inquiries and anyone with information about drug use, possession or trafficking is requested to contact the Hamilton police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," he said.
