Between them, they have rowed more than 84 kilometres, about the equivalent of travelling from Warrnambool to Princetown, to raise money for Aussie Helpers.
The Warrnambool 24/7 Gym trainers took to the venue’s high altitude room to make the fund-raising challenge even harder, rowing at the equivalent of thousands of metres above sea level.
Rowing 42.2 kilometres each, the trainers were well and truly feeling the burn as they neared the end of the event, which took Ms Rantall about four-and-a-half hours and Mr Arms a little over three hours.
Ms Rantall said they enjoyed taking on the challenge for a good cause.
“There are a lot of farmers struggling throughout Australia at the moment,” she said.
“We didn’t have a fund-raising target, we’re just trying to raise as much as we can.”
Aussie Helpers is a non-profit organisation that helps farmers with equipment, food and emotional support during tough times.
