The infectious operatic sounds of Gilbert and Sullivan are set to fill the King’s College auditorium on the weekend, as the school’s teenagers present H.M.S Pinafore.
The musical comedy about forbidden love between a man and a lady is the choice for this year’s annual production.
Set aboard a British warship in the 1800s, producer Jo Van Leerdam and music director Andrew Philpot promise to ‘rouse the audience with endearing characters, memorable tunes and a hilariously happy ending’.
The two-hour show includes a cast, choir and musicians of 46 students from Years 7 to 12.
H.M.S Pinafore is on stage at the King’s College Auditorium at 7.30pm from September 13 to 15.
