Warrnambool export Marc Leishman has snuck his way into top 30 for the FedEx Cup Tour Championship with a 2-under 68 in the final round of the BMW Championship in Philadelphia on Monday morning.

Leishman, who made the top 30 for the Tour Championship in 29th place, joins fellow Australian pro golfers Cameron Smith (10th) and Jason Day (12th) for the tournament in Atlanta, Georgia’s East Lake Golf Club from September 19 to 23.
The former Warrnambool Golf Club champion, who gained automatic qualification for all four majors next year after making the top 30 cut off, remains upbeat about his chances at the the Tour Championship.
"It's been a consistent season so I'm glad to have made the Tour Champs,” Leishman said. “Hopefully my last event of the year will be my best and I can get a win.”

The 34-year-old shot rounds of 74, 66, 66 and 68 to finish 6-under in equal 41st at the BMW championship at Aronimink Golf Club.
Leishman admitted at a press conference prior to the event that he wouldn’t consider the temptation to shake things up with his club lengths after the recent strong form from Bryson DeChambeau, who has claimed three event wins from nine starts.
