A 59-year-old woman from Camperdown has been flown to hospital after a two-car crash on the Princes Highway.
An ambulance spokesman said the woman was flown to hospital on Monday night, but could not yet confirm the hospital's location.
He said air ambulance departed from Melbourne and landed on scene, east of Camperdown, about 7.10pm. The woman was transported in a stable condition with leg injuries.
Camperdown police Leading Senior Constable Steve Clissold a section of the highway was closed to traffic for about two hours while the air ambulance landed and emergency services personnel attended.
He said the incident occurred when a Toyota Landcruiser ute turning right was hit from behind by a Subaru wagon about 5.50pm.
Leading Senior Constable Clissold said both cars were travelling west on the Princes Highway and the crash occurred west of the Talindert Road turnoff, east of Camperdown.
"The driver of the ute has turned right into his driveway and the wagon has collided with the rear,” he said.
He said the Camperdown SES had to free the woman from the Subaru wagon and the male driver of the ute was uninjured.
Camperdown, Cobden and Mortlake police, ambulance and Weerite and Camperdown CFA attended.
He said traffic was diverted and the highway was re-opened after 8pm.
Leading Senior Constable Clissold said investigations into the crash were ongoing.

The air ambulance is en route to Camperdown following a two-car crash.
The incident occurred near the intersection of the Princes Highway and Talindert Road, east of Camperdown.
An ambulance spokesman said they received the call about 6pm and one woman was trapped in a vehicle.
“We’re sending a helicopter. It should be on scene in 20 or 30 minutes,” he said.
Camperdown and Cobden police, ambulance and SES members are on scene.
