Nirranda claimed the biggest prizes on offer – the senior football and A grade netball titles. But the spoils of victory were shared with other clubs like Old Collegians that claimed three netball flags.
The Standard’s team of photographers was at a wind-swept Reid Oval on Saturday and captured the agony, ecstasy and colour. Michael Chambers and Rob Gunstone were courtside when Nirranda’s 18-year A grade netball premiership drought was broken and the tears of joy flowed.
Morgan Hancock was in the middle of Nirranda’s on-field celebrations when the Blues won their second footy flag in three seasons and Christine Ansorge captured the excitement of junior winners throughout the day.
