John Paulin won the Blues’ senior football best and fairest while Joanna Couch claimed the A grade netball award.
James Willsher and Steph Townsend were runners-up.
Paulin and Couch were part of Warrnambool and District league premierships teams on Saturday and both won best-on-ground medals for their performances in the grand final wins.
For Paulin, 21, it was the second time he has been crowned club champion, having also won the Blues’ top honour in 2015. The midfielder said it was an honour to win the best and fairest in a premiership year.
"It's pretty good, it's a bit surprising," he said of his win.
"I was happy with my season, I got some fitness back in the second half of the year which helped."
Couch played in the centre in the grand final win over Dennington, a position she has filled for much of the season. The primary teaching student has now mastered the midcourt, having won the league best and fairest in 2015 as a goal shooter.
Winning premierships is a family affair at Nirranda with Paulin playing alongside his brother Will in the triumph over Old Collegians while Couch's two brothers, Mitch and Nathan, also played in the senior football victory.
Best-and-fairest winners in other senior grades were Hayden Scoble (reserves football), Anna Murnane (A reserve netball) and Hannah Rippon (B grade netball).
