The Rebels, who had booked a spot in the finals via the wildcard round, were in the game at quarter-time trailing by just 13 points.
But after the first break it was all the Chargers’ way as they kicked 14.12 to 3.1 and stormed into the next round of finals with a 18.15 (123) to 5.3 (33) victory.
Warrnambool’s Matt Schnerring and code-jumper Liam Herbert, who was playing his first game of the season, were stars for the south-west contingent of Rebels players.
The pair finished in the Rebels’ best players on a day were the result was set early.
Schnerring, who collected 19 disposals, and Tylar Watts both hit the scoreboard with one goal each.
