KOROIT coach Chris McLaren says the Saints have locked in two of their established leaders for 2019.
Premiership duo Tim McIntyre and Damian O’Connor will remain at Victoria Park next season.
He said O’Connor would be involved in an off-field capacity but was yet to decide whether he would extend his decorated senior playing career.
“We go about it differently at Koroit, we shake hands and say ‘we’re onboard and can’t wait for next year’,” McLaren said.
The lifelong Saint said the majority of their list would remain at the club.
“Having them recommitted, it’s nice there’s a bit of calmness and a buzz before finals,” McLaren said.
“As coach, it’s nice to have assurance the key players are onboard again.”
McLaren said McIntyre was a key to the Saints’ success.
“He’s in terrific shape. I don’t think he’s missed a game this year including interleague,” he said.
