The Power surged to third spot on the ladder before bowing out to eventual runners-up Old Collegians after a week one finals loss to them and a victory over Timboon Demons in a semi-final.
In what would be 2017 premiership coach Danny Finn’s last year he put the pillars in place for his cousin and new senior coach Ben Walsh to use in the Power’s next premiership drive.
Walsh has junior development and the under 14.5 and under 17.5 premierships last Saturday would give him a lot of confidence about the future.
First-year A grade netball coach Jody Roth would also be pleased by the junior development on the court side of the club with the 13 and under team also securing premiership success.
In Roth’s first season at the helm the Power finished eighth on the ladder after a late flurry of form delivered some confidence boosting victories.
