Dennington’s netballers are still in the hunt for their fourth premiership but doesn’t mean you cant look at the club’s year as one.
The senior footballers finished eighth with five wins and 11 losses. A mix of older heads and young brigade led the way with strong form in the early rounds before injury derailed the Dogs’ season.
Their best win came against Merrivale in round six. The Dogs ended up defeating the fast-finishing Tigers by 53-points at home.
The netballers finished top of the ladder and got the first week of finals off before losing to Nirranda in the second semi-final.
Last Saturday the Dogs made sure they secured their spot in the grand final and kept the four-peat dream alive heading into the league’s final day.
