Russells Creek’s year was all about the future and making sure it is ready to drive back up the ladder once Peter Timms takes over the reigns next year.
Playing coach Heath Moloney, who was assisted by his father Bernie, laid the foundations in a side that will push towards finals in the next few years.
The final few rounds of the footy season showed it is capable of going far and with league best and fairest Andy McMeel as the Kangaroos leader it’s looking like a bright future.
The A grade netball side also showed promising signs they are heading to glory as it returned to the finals for the first time in over a decade.
Thalia Robertson has installed faith in juniors and in the current set of stars and they will be buoyed by the way they finished the season.
