The Kepler Street premises, which is home to The Standard, National Australia Bank business banking centre and Axis Employment is for sale, with Harris and Wood real estate agent Danny Harris saying it could fetch up to $4.5 million.
A Warrnambool investor owns the property and they are keen to divest their interests, Mr Harris said. Total income is $389,923 per year.
“It would be one of the larger commercial privately owned sites in the CBD,” Mr Harris said. “All three tenants have recently completed modern fit-outs and given its access to the Coles car park and major shopping centre, it’s a site that in the future there will be no reason why it won’t continue to be a sought after property.”
The Standard editor Greg Best said it was business as usual for the paper, and the building offered fantastic facilities in its purpose-built newsroom.
