The league confirmed on Monday the preliminary final would be hosted at Warrnambool’s premier ground, but said it was still in discussions with Warrnambool City Council regarding the grand final.
"We are confident,” Harrison said.
“It’s all just procedure that all grounds are ticked off on a Monday, that’s the case for all leagues, we have no choice in that.”
The league boss said having both finals at Reid Oval benefited all involved.
“I think it is fair for all teams left in the finals race to also play the grand final at Reid the week after. It is a common-sense approach for us,” he said.
“It’s also a lot less work for the catering people when its there for two weeks because everything is set up ready to go.
“And it is better viewing for the supporters, especially if the weather is not kind.
Saturday’s preliminary final action sees Old Collegians and Kolora-Noorat meet in the senior football and Dennington take on Timboon Demons in the A grade netball.
