Detective Senior Constable Elissa Smith, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said the $15,000 burglary occurred at a property in Kimberly Drive sometime on Saturday night.
She said the house was under renovation and was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
The burglary was reported to police on Sunday morning.
Detective Senior Constable Smith said offenders gained entry to the property by forcing open a rear window.
“They’ve then forced entry into a safe, stealing jewellery, and then a caravan that was in the drive way,” she said.
“Police are calling for anyone in the area that may have heard loud banging in the area overnight on Saturday.”
Police have released images of a caravan similar to the one stolen.
“It’s quite distinctive because it’s a smaller van with a door at the rear,” Detective Senior Constable Smith said.
Anyone with information should call Warrnambool police on 5560 1333 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
